Opensourcepdfeditor.com is install notes, and the publisher is the Open Source PDF Editor editorial team. The mailbox, when a form is present, is for errors in those notes and for questions about those notes. It is not a Stirling PDF helpdesk, and it is not a mailbox for a named individual. A personal email address is not published, and a personal GitHub profile is not published. Who publishes: about.
Fallback when email is empty
There is no public email address. Report a factual error by writing down four facts: the URL on https://opensourcepdfeditor.com that is wrong, the sentence as it stands today, the official source that disagrees, and the sentence that source supports. Put those four facts in the report form when a form is present. If no form is present, keep the four facts until a form ships. Do not attach a PDF. The editorial team does not need your file to fix a sentence about winget.
How to report an error
If a command, filename, image name, login default, or claim disagrees with GitHub or docs.stirlingpdf.com, send a correction with four facts:
- The URL on https://opensourcepdfeditor.com that is wrong.
- The sentence as it stands today.
- The official source that disagrees: a GitHub release asset list, a docs.stirlingpdf.com page, the winget id
StirlingTools.StirlingPDF, or a vendor site such as acrobat.adobe.com. - The sentence the source supports.
Usual drift: the MSI name Stirling-PDF-windows-x86_64.msi, the install path C:\Program Files\Stirling-PDF, the image docker.stirlingpdf.com/stirlingtools/stirling-pdf:latest, port 8080, Docker defaults admin / stirling, the opt-out flag SECURITY_ENABLELOGIN=false, JAR names, or the Java JDK version official docs currently require. Put those four facts in the report form when a form is present, and do not attach a PDF. The file is not required to fix a sentence about winget. How sources are chosen: editorial policy.
How to ask a question
Questions about these notes are in scope when they are about a path already mapped: Windows desktop, Docker on port 8080, winget, the GitHub tag, or a comparison already published. Ask which official source was used, or ask for a re-check of a command against docs. Questions about a crash inside Stirling PDF are out of scope, and questions about an Adobe bill are out of scope. Questions about another website's upload queue are out of scope.
Windows command:
winget install StirlingTools.StirlingPDF Docker start:
docker-compose up -d Then open http://localhost:8080. Login on, and default admin / stirling. Change it, and desktop skips that login. Safe fetch: is it safe to download this PDF editor. Windows: Windows PDF editor download. Docker: PDF editor Docker Compose.
What belongs on GitHub Issues
A crash, a failed OCR, a compose stack that will not start, a missing button in the Stirling UI, or a password you set inside the container belongs on GitHub issues for Stirling-Tools/Stirling-PDF. Follow the project's templates, and docs: docs.stirlingpdf.com. Homepage: stirling.com. Security notes for the program live in that same repository.
An MSI, a JAR, or a container image is not sent from these notes. Files stay on GitHub Releases and docker.stirlingpdf.com, and an Adobe account reset or an Acrobat cancel belongs on acrobat.adobe.com. A file uploaded to iLovePDF, Sejda, PDF24, or Bento cannot be retrieved here. Legal advice about MIT versus other folders in the Stirling tree is out of scope. Read the project's LICENSE. | You have | Where it goes |
|---|---|
| A wrong command or filename in these notes | The four-fact correction process, because email is empty |
| A crash or missing tool inside Stirling PDF | GitHub Issues on Stirling-Tools/Stirling-PDF |
| An Adobe account or bill | acrobat.adobe.com |
| A media kit or ad buy | Nowhere. Ads are off |
Correction process
The editorial team reads reports against the source named in the report. If GitHub or docs.stirlingpdf.com disagree with the published sentence, the sentence is edited, the official URL is kept, and the last verified date on the stamp is bumped. If the official source agrees with the published sentence, the sentence stays and, when it helps, a pointer to that source is added. A comparison is not silently rewritten to please a vendor.
Advertising enquiries
Ads are off, and there is no display network running here. There is no sponsored slot to buy on a guide, and there is no affiliate cut on winget install StirlingTools.StirlingPDF. Because ads are off, there is no advertising enquiry channel and no sales desk. If that changes, advertising disclosure will say so before a network script ships. Do not send media kits expecting a placement, and privacy for hosting logs: privacy. Guide index: PDF editor guides.
