Analytics are none here and ads are off, so there is no measurement product to name and no advertising cookie to opt out of until this policy names a network before a script ships.

This policy is for opensourcepdfeditor.com only and it describes what a request to that hostname does. It does not describe Stirling PDF running on your PC or in your container. Once you install from GitHub or pull from docker.stirlingpdf.com, file handling is the program's, on hardware you control. Publisher: about.

No personal accounts

There is no member database, no newsletter form, and no comment box that stores a name. PDFs are not hosted here and Merge, split, sign, OCR, and convert happen in Stirling PDF on the machine you installed, not on these servers. The Windows MSI, the JARs, and the Docker image are also not hosted here, so there is no download account for those files either. You fetch them from GitHub Releases, files.stirlingpdf.com, or docker.stirlingpdf.com.

The copy control on an install command uses the browser clipboard on your device. A successful copy does not send the winget string StirlingTools.StirlingPDF back as a profile event. Command text stays selectable even if clipboard permission is denied.

Hosting logs Possible ordinary request logs

Hosting may log (Cloudflare)

These pages are served through Cloudflare. Like any CDN and reverse proxy, Cloudflare may log ordinary request data for operations, caching, and abuse response: IP address, user agent, referrer, path, status, and time. Those logs are not a Stirling PDF account; They are not a mailing list. They are not sold; They are not appended to an advertising profile, because no ad network is enabled. Hosting logs cannot reconstruct which PDF you opened in the desktop app or in Docker. That work never reaches these notes.

No named tracker

No first-party analytics tracker is claimed and Cloudflare Web Analytics, a cookieless probe, or any other measurement product is not named as something running here. If a browser shows cookies from Cloudflare, treat them as the host's operational cookies, not as a tracker documented here. When this policy cannot name a product actually running, it stays silent rather than inventing one. If a tracker is added later, this policy will name it before it ships.

Third-party links

Links leave these pages when you open official project or vendor pages and those services have their own policies. Typical destinations:

A Docker pull, an MSI download, and a GitHub issue session happen between you and those hosts. Stirling PDF on Windows or in Docker processes files there and those bytes are not proxied through these notes. After docker-compose up -d, http://localhost:8080 is your instance, not these pages.

No ad network enabled

Display ads are off. No ad network script ships and these pages do not set advertising cookies and do not drop a personalized ad profile. There is no ads identity to opt out of, because there is no ads identity. If ads go on later, advertising disclosure and this privacy policy will name the network and any cookies before the script is enabled. Until then, treat "no ad network" as a fact, not as a promise that a vendor site you click will also be ad-free.

Questions about this policy

Privacy questions go through contact; Do not send a confidential PDF to ask a logging question. A PDF that never arrived cannot be deleted and Stirling PDF's own telemetry, if any, is a project question for Stirling-Tools.
